MIDI Sequencing :: Roland SC-55
Can anyone suggest a quick sysex to mute a specific channel on a Sound Canvas? I need to mute the drums on my SC-55 to use another drum module. I've looked everywhere for an implementation chart for the SC-55 but to no avail. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

MIDI Hardware :: Hook Up more then 2 keyboards
Hello,
I have a Gem wk2 and Gem wk8 Megastation hooked up to a Behringer xenyx 1204 mixer. From there I go with a 50 foot long cable to the m-audio Delta 1010 LT Audio card, and Use Mixcraft 3 and 4, + Magix Samplitude Studio 14. The recording is working perfect.
1 - NOW, I bought a M-audio OXY...

MIDI Hardware :: Anatek Pocket Transpose
I got a Roland PK-5 and am astonished to find it can't transpose. All the blurb says it can, but I find it can only do octave shift. What's with those guys? 13 keys and they won't let you pitch-shift in semitone increments? Unbelievable. Anyway, someone suggested the Anatek pocket devices, so I g...

Korg :: X50 & Sibelius v4 sound setup problems
I'm new to computer/music/midi stuff but have USB'd my X50 into my computer and can input notes to the staves in Sibelius but the program cannot play or see the sounds from the X50. My only intent with all this is to create sheet music of my original tunes that have keyboards on them. I'm musical...

MIDI Hardware :: Studiologic SL990XP Memory problem
Recently I purchased the SL990 XP controller and can't get it to store midi info. It recalls the number 1 location (bank 1 patch 1 channel 1). But when I recall any other location it changes the velocity sensitivity, midi channel and transposes up a half step. (wierd huh?) Again, I can't get it t...

Yamaha :: Manual for Yamaha PSR-9000
Looking for a Yamaha PSR9000 user manual. I must have thrown it out with the box, and now I need it. Please let me know if you have one or know where to get it. Thanks.

Audio Software :: Windows XP or Vista?
I'm about to buy a new desktop PC. The question is what OS would be better for music. I've been usning XP on my old PC, the new one comes with Vista.
I could probably save a few bucks if I order the PC without Vista and simply install XP. Could anyone please give me a good reason to switch to V...

MIDI Sequencing :: Roland GS reset in MIDI file
Is there a way to reset the Roland GS SoundCanvas to its original settings?
I'm thinking of a system exclusive message I could put into the beginning and the end of each MIDI sequence.
The reason for this is that many times when I play other people's MIDI files the controllers change and my o...

Reviews :: M-Audio Torq Xponent Midi DJ Controller
Looking for reviews and / or opinions on the M-Audio Torq Xponent Midi DJ Controller.
I'm about to buy one, but I'd like to get some info before I jump.

MIDI Software :: soundbridge issues
Is there anyone who can help with this issue? I am using alesis soundbridge to transfer sound samples to my QS 8.2. I notice that the latest soundbridge posted by alesis was way back in 2000 using OS WIN 98 or NT. I am running WIN XP. When I try to use the software, I get a message that my synt...

MIDI Software :: Cubase
Is there anyone out there who really knows how to use Cubase? I spent a lot of money on this software some time ago, but never managed to make any sense of it.
I have VST Score 5, it's pretty old by now, but it should work and I don't want to spend more money on upgrades until I find at least o...

MIDI Software :: Editing MIDI Files
I downloaded lots of MIDI files from the web. Many of them have errors, bad notes, etc. Is there a way to edit these? What kind of software would be the best to do it?

MIDI Files, Downloads and Web Resources :: Searching for Joan Osborne's One o...
Hi,
a couple of years ago, I downloaded a high quality midi-file of Joan Osborne's One of Us. It sounded just like the original on my Yamaha PSR-8000 keyboard. I only stored the midi file on floppy disc, which I unfortunately lost some time ago. I've been searching for that midi file ever since,...

The QuadraSynth Forum :: RE: QS8.1 key weight
Thanks for your informative response...

My problems started when I kept noticing a difference between the acoustic piano at my dad's and my QS8.1. I noticed it was so much easier to play the acoustic piano, especially doing the stretch chords in a song like "Canon in D." At first I thought ...

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: Lots of questions...
Hi

I bought a couple month ago some piece of MIDI gear, and after all those hours reading books and manuals, i can not do some operation in my system.

The QuadraSynth Forum :: RE: QS8.1 key weight
I find it strange that you would want to lighten up the QS8.1 keyboard action's actual weight and its mechanical responsiveness. One of the main reasons I chose the 8.1 was because I could do rapid trills, not possible, on a well-liked, Roland keyboard and most, other, "weighted" controllers. I h...

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: Home stewed MIDI
Hi everyone

I just saw this video, and I wondered if this homemade device could be used as a MIDI controler, using any kind of complementary software or a MIDI emulator for instance ?

Any idea ?

DO you want to use it with a keyboard controller or just for playing back MIDI files?

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: RE: a little help??
I would definitely recommend investing into a MIDI sequencer program.
It will give you a lot more options and useful tools than a plain MIDI player.
A MIDI sequencer lets you edit the files you downloaded from the web, fix bad notes, mute some parts if needed,
you can even rearrange the who...

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: Custom MIDI controllers
Hi

I'm new here and wondered if anyone can help me out. I need a MIDI controller built for a project I'm working on. It's a 'simple' one just 6 pots and maybe 1 fader. It does however need to meet certain ergonomic specifications. I can't seem to find anywhere on the net that builds them t...

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: a little help??
Question I have been approached by one of our congregation members at church who has discovered that our church organ has midi ports in it. Until this point midi could have fallen from the sky and hit me in the head, and I wouldn't have had a clue about it. Anyway, I'm wondering.... is this as simple as ...

The QuadraSynth Forum :: QS8.1 key weight
Is there any way to change the weight of the keys on the QS8.1? The keys are very hard to depress and cause a lot of strain on my hands. I would like to make it very light touch just like an acoustic piano.

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: RE: Portman PC/P with 133Mhz Pe...
I dunno, just a thought here but is there some other driver loaded which may be accessing the parallel port, too?

MIDI Keyboards, Controllers and Interfaces :: Want to Buy: Midiman Portman 2x4
This is an old parallel port interface. Doesn't work with Windows XP/Vista. If you happen to have one collecting dust, I'll pay a fair price plus shipping.

Midiman Portman 2x4

Thanks!

The QuadraSynth Forum :: RE: What Alesis synth do you use?
Not quit fair to force one pick

I primarily use Fusion 8HD but still use QS8 and QSR
